The walk

THE WALK

As my feet embraced the land I was born:

My erratic mind was in an Abeyance,

A beat skipped as I walked out of the Airport

A strange sense of joy possessed me -

As I continued my walk in the ever-changing dome.

I lusted the beautiful surroundings as I lay back in the cab

The genial trees, the fleecy clouds appeared a treat;

Until I was brought back to the world by the driver –

As he shook me and said   “Where to? “.

“To home” shrieked my heart: “23^rd street Amar road”

Whimpered my mouth.

A sweaty bag on my left, dragging down a travel bag,

, I walked on the street. As I looked in the puddle of water

: I was sent aback into the ocean of lost memories.

My mother’s faint laugh: my father’s tough love

And sister’s sweet talk trumpled my heart

The dim glow of the flickering street light guided me –

Down this distant little walk. The redolence of the gentle breeze

Had a prodigious grip all over me. The sound of the barking-

Canine appeared luscious .I could only find a rusted lock coiled

Around the House. I gazed around, looked and looked through

the blurry clear place. I knew this

I left my destiny, “living” my dream. I stood there breathing the cold

Life less air without a single tear in my eye.
